HER LOVE FOR JAZZ
In a world of overnight sensations, jazz vocalist Tierney Sutton’s success has come from the road less traveled. A decision in the mid ’90s to move to Southern California from her New England home resulted in a decade-long collaboration with her current band mates. A Wisconsin-born choir girl, unexposed to jazz until college, Tierney eventually found the best of the best--collaborators with their own impressive jazz pedigrees, from Natalie Cole to Diana Krall, from Ray Charles to Randy Brecker--pianist Christian Jacob, bassists Trey Henry and Kevin Axt, and drummer Ray Brinker. The Picture Of Light Is Painted In Words
The phrase repeats itself over and over again in his mind: "Silent night, holy night, Stille nacht, heilige nacht." Father Joseph Mohr, Parish Priest. It's the first line from a poem this young Austrian priest had written two years before. Now he can't get the phrase out of his mind. "Silent night, holy night." Tonight is Christmas Eve and St. Nicholas Church in Oberndorf, north of Salzburg, will be chock-full of people. Father Joseph Mohr has a homily in mind, a message for his flock on this sacred night, but he needs a carol, something special to cap off the service. Read more...

THE STRANGE STORY OF THOMAS BREAKWELL
The last line of a good poem often leaves me pondering its meaning. Sometime these meanings are revised as time passes. Poetry like revelation takes one deeper. It’s rare that the biography of individual can also have that effect; especially when we know practically nothing about the details of that individual’s life. That’s how I feel about the life of Thomas Breakwell. http://www.treasuresofwonderment.com/story/2009-08-29/strange-story-thomas-breakwell
