The aim of this show is to connect the listener to the deep meaning and expression of the French "chanson" of Michel Legrand, Jacques Prévert, Edith Piaf and other legendary musicians and poets. This concert captures the true essence of French popular classics like "Milord" with a little bit of jazz spin to them. Upon listening, you will suddenly find yourself in Belleville, Paris, the ethnically diverse district described by Daniel Pennac. Here you will feel the atmosphere of the "banlieue parisienne" where people lead eccentric and creative lives! This show has already been performed with great success at well-known theaters and concert halls throughout the United States, such as the Count Basie Theatre (NJ), the Bergen Performing Arts Center (NJ), The Egg Hart Theatre (NY), Irvine Hall (PA), and the Berklee Performance Center (Boston, MA). This ensemble of extremely talented musicians will take you on a tour through the traditional French music that has nurtured in the hearts and homes of France for centuries!

Angela RossiAngela Rossi is renowned for her unique repertoire in six languages that traverses the traditional, jazz, and world fusion genres.Angela Rossi, artistic director, vocals As a versatile, multifaceted European singer and composer, Angela Rossi is renowned for her unique repertoire in six languages that traverses the traditional, jazz, and world fusion genres. After graduating with honors from Berklee College of Music she performed as a lead vocalist in several well established and award winning ensembles including the Instabile Orchestra, Sisters in Jazz, and Atlas Soul. Angela's singing and writing talents are showcased on the singles "Angelo Mio", and "Sole" which were featured in the Global Rhythm magazine 2006 and 2007 issue CD compilation along with songs by such artists as T. Jobim, Marisa Monte, Lee Ritenour, Gal Costa & Tania Maria. As part of the ongoing World on Stage tour, Angela Rossi has performed at well‐known theaters and concert halls throughout the United States. During this tour she showcases her versatility as a lead vocalist in French Reflections and Latin Rhythms and World music programs. Newpoli, a folk band she co‐leads specializing in traditional Southern Italian rhythms, represents one of her most prestigious musical accomplishments.

Maxim Lubarsky is a native of Odessa, UkraineMaxim Lubarsky – music director, piano is a native of Odessa, Ukraine, where he began his musical caree over 20 years ago as a classical pianist. When he was seven years old, he started his musical education at the Stolyarsky School of Music. Subsequently, Maxim received a Master’s Degree from the Odessa State Conservatory. During his last years in school Maxim acquired love for jazz music and in 2001 came to Berklee to pursue jazz education, where he studied with such renowned musicians as Joanne Brackeen, Danilo Perez, Joe Lovano, Charlie Banaques and Hal Crook. At Berklee he was the recipient of Best Scholarship and the Berklee Technics Piano Award . Maxim has also performed with such exeptional musicians as Sreeve Gett, AbrahamLaboriel, Sandra Aran, Gabrielle Goodman, Rhiannon and participated in Bean‐Town Jazz Festival, Cambridge Music Festival, Krivoy Rog Jazz festival. Maxim is the pianist and music director of the French ensemble “C’ Est Si Bon”. Maxim has become a yearly performer at the Spoleto festival in Charleston, S. Carolina. He had toured in Spain, France, Greece, England and Israel.
