Tatiana Zamir
Tatiana Zamir practices the healing arts through her massage business and is also a multi-arts performer, dance choreographer, poet, and spoken word artist who has found her niche in a hybrid form of art referred to as “dance theatre.”
She has a B.A. in dance and cultural studies from UCLA’s World Arts and Cultures Department where she studied various dance forms and had the wonderful opportunity of studying contemporary West African dance with Germaine Acogny at her dance school, L’Ecole de Sables, in Senegal, West Africa.
She has been choreographing and dancing for over seven years with the One World Dance Company, which travels around the world promoting positive messages of peace and unity through their performances. She was also a member of Contra Tiempo, an innovative salsa company, L'Esprit D'frique, a pan African performing arts ensemble and the Marshall Dance Company, which strives to carry on the legacy of Katherine Dunham. She is now engaged in teaching dance at various schools and dance studios throughout Los Angeles and believes that the arts are an essential part of learning, healing, and expressing ones creative possibilities.
Tatiana is a certified and licensed massage therapist. She graduated from Institute of Pycho-Structural Balancing (IPSB). IPSB is a holistic school that teaches the therapist how to become more aware of the whole body/mind/spirit connection, enabling a more therapeutic experience.
The technique resembles a Swedish massage but is more creative and unique because it is based on Tai Chi energy and body mechanics. This creates a more fluid and thoughtful experience, allowing the healing from heart to heart.
