A Noble Knows
Poems by Maria ChouchtariA Noble knows that strength and power go hand in hand
Like a sword in its sheath, with meekness and tenderness of heart.
A true Knight needs no armor to slay the dragon.
Only chivalry, courage, fidelity, strength and fearlessness.
A kind word goes far, a kind gesture even farther.
A sense of humor is a cure all and the ability to laugh
Scares the dragons away…
There are many miles and bridges to cross before attaining our goal.
The fight for life is a never-ending battle.
A struggle to attain new heights, to conquer new frontiers,
The battle to overcome self is our own personal war with ego.
Sometimes a wound happens here and there, but in time it heals.
Courage is never far away. True justice will prevail.
All the while knowing a True One watches over us all.
And protects us when facing challenges.
We are never alone.
Though your days are long and you become weary,
Remember life is a constant challenge.
Yet it teaches strength.
The clues don't always come easy to figure out the way.
The pieces don't seem to fit the puzzle.
The words don't all rhyme.
Pains and sorrows are the lot of many.
Yet it teaches us compassion for others and for our poor selves.
The challenges are many. Chivalry is the key.
Tests make us climb the ladder to success.
With it, a few tears are shed along the way.
A job well done earns us merit points.
All these shape character and the true self.
Soul AND body combined in the match.
Infatuations and cravings come and go.
In time, they lose importance and their value.
Flirtations have no meaning and only seem to mock life.
TRUE LOVE IS ETERNAL
If words don't come, then Silence is Golden.
Even when the skies are dark and grey
The sun eventually shines.
It's always there!
Just hidden at times by the clouds.
The clouds of doubt and worry,
Of stresses and deadlines too hard to meet.
More Faith is needed.
A POWER TO CONNECT TO
Taking time to regenerate our batteries with sharing.
Sharing most of all the good in us.
To share is to grow.
Keep climbing the ladder of achievement and never look down.
Memories and achievements are forever.
They are yours to keep
They stay in your heart.
No one can take them away from you.
The good comes with the bad.
They are like weeds in the garden,
You keep pulling them out and they keep growing back.
And yet all this has a reason.
Wisdom no one can understand
You cherish the good times and hope for the best.
Wishing each other health, happiness and success.
FEAR NOT!
For Angels are there watching over your every move
Knowing you've got the power with you every hour.
You've got the power to make changes.
You've got the power to make a difference
And you've got the power to make the world a better place.
ENOUGH SAID
For actions speak louder than words
So this is just a whisper……….
Take a leap, cast your wings, and soar to higher heights
Rest only at Eagle's perch. May your vision be sharp and clear
As a new world order is unfolding!
Conquering the souls of men with wisdom and love.
I SEARCH FOR HIM
I searched for HIM in the Starry Night
I sought his Light, His comfort, His Love
I longed for His presence, I craved His compassion
I met him in a Dream on a lofty Plane,
How did I know that That was Paradise.
His cave no more, but HIS Spirit of Glory
At the Heavenly Gate, in beautiful gardens
Reaching out to me with Open Arms.
Do not weep, I am here,
I will always be with you.
I will never Leave you, never abandon you.
I sought Him out.
Where to find Him again but in the gardens of Bahji.
His Spirit returned in ALL ITS GLORY.
There are many jewels in the sacred crown at the Vatican.
Jesus had a crown of thorns, but his crown was sparked with His blessed blood.
A priceless treasure.
No one worthy to inherit that crown.
The crown of martyrdom.
He carried it alone.
Some tried to wear it but failed miserably. Denied him thrice.
The skies grew dark and weary of that population.
Mary only had tears. Did she know His worth?
He was but her son...yet a Son from Heaven.
There were no explanations. Could she really understand HIS station..?
She had the station of sacred motherhood.
Loved by all mothers in the world.
She had other sons, but none like Jesus.
Jesus of Nazareth, born in a manger in Bethlehem.
City of lights in the dark night, till now illumined,
Void of earthly treasures, he slept on a rock, ate herbs.
Treading the Sinai, looking for fishers of men,
Divine footsteps in the sands and on the waters of Galilee
Braving winds and storms, till they roared no more
--Taught like an adult while yet still a child.
Never having had wealth or heritage.
A simple carpenter, a shepherd herding his flock,
Teaching in the temples to men with gray locks.
To the Many who mocked.
Pilate feared his popularity.
Only one soldier shed a tear...
No one deserved to die like this...much less this youth of Nazareth.
Who knows God in this city run by Romans? O, Jerusalem, slayer of prophets.
So many footsteps, so many mournings.
Who cried out the most, O Mount Sinai ?
Regrets and losses.
They had the Blessed one in their midst, but saw it not.
The Spirit...like none other.
Few knew His value until it was too late.
Gentle Jesus, who loved the children and the lambs.
Strong, attractive, Charismatic.
His Divine knowledge confounded them all.
Him that knew him, lost his head.
While Mary Magdalene outshone them all.
A woman of many charms
Saved by Jesus from a thrashing mob,
Scorned because of her profession,
But a Heart as Pure as gold.
Inspiring generations to come with His words of Love.
Halloweth be Thy Name!
His teachings ring till this day.
A true note of a worthy song.
Love thy neighbor as Thyself.
TRUE TO THIS DAY.
A teaching, a blessed path.
Returned to us, in ALL HIS GLORY.
FEET
Barefoot I tippy-toe in the clover,
While in hot sands my feet burn,
At times they feel cool and other times frozen
in the search.
At times they are wounded and bleeding.
As I grow, so do they...
but never do they grow smaller...even if they don't grow bigger..
I know they can take me far, one step at a time
Even when they hurt, they recover and carry on.
A times they are blistered from the many miles along the way.
At times they dance and jump and leap for joy..
at times they GET STEPPED ON...
But both work together to get me where I want to go.
They each take the lead one after the other..
They follow in the footsteps of so many along the path,
They climb mountains, valleys, forests and streams
in the Search of the Promised one.
They take a leap of Faith, and jump from heights.
The can even be tickled and then that makes me laugh.
But should I kick real hard, I can be hurt
If I try to wear something not my style ( too high) I will trip and fall.
It can step softly ...I can run Hard..
I can catch the bus if I really try...
but stairs are harder ...They love the water and the waves.
Should I ever step on your toes, please forgive me..
As at times they are reckless and inattentive.
But are always trying to keep the balance..
A learn to keep the pace.
Strides are long, skips are short.
But whatever you do....you walk the path of Life.
and make it all your own..
Your walk is yours alone to take.
With each step I get a little closer.
Blessed are the feet that Tread in HIS PATH
