We Were Called And We Came

Arising to Serve

In October 2008, Universal House of Justice announced 41 regional conferences to be held throughout the world over a period of four months. The response to the invitation was magnificent. Nearly 80,000 Bahá’ís and their friends from more than 170 countries attended.

We came on foot.
We came by air.
We came of a land and sea, from everywhere.
We came through snow and heat.
We came through conflicts and peace.
We came from North and South, from West and East.
We came alone, and we came together.
We came as sisters and as brothers.
We brought the youngest and the oldest, families, neighbors and friends.
We came in tens.
We came in hundreds.
We came in thousands and tens of thousands.
We were called and we came.
