Whither doth this search us take?
What do we really know about Christ?
Was He a man? Was He God?
Was He a son or the Messiah?
Was he merely a man called Jesus from Nazareth?
The son of Mary who worked with Joseph in carpentry!
Who while teaching was smarter than the clergy?
Some questioned him, others mocked him,
but what we do know is that,
"He changed civilization and taught us about love
defeated the Romans and philistines in thought."
He never let us worry about his meagre possessions
as He considered himself the richest man on earth,
as He said, "O Father, who art in Heaven,
Thou has given me the poor."
He only gave us the law of loving God and one another.
He had no place to lay his head
let alone time to wed.
He was born and slept in a manger
from which animals are fed,
in a poor overly crowded district in Bethlehem.
He had no formal schooling nor did he know how to read and write.
What he did know was divinely inspired.
He was called the Spirit and he knew about eternal life (in the afterlife).
His apostles were not many,
one even betrayed him.
But the most worthy of his followers was a woman.
She set them back on target and led them on their new journey.
"Have you already forgotten what our Master taught us,” she said?
Teach the world about His new teachings!
A wonder, a miracle and new dress for humanity!
The poor in his sight had great value.
And He loved the children. Oh, the blessed Children!
He said," ye must be as these children
for if not, ye shall never enter the gates of the Kingdom."
And that it was easier for the camel to cross through eye of a needle.
Than for a rich man to enter into heaven."
He loved the lamb, the meek and the humble.
For he himself was at one time a loving shepherd.
He protected the sinner; he saved a prostitute from a stoning to death.
He saved the people from the depths of ignorance.
He let no one endure suffering or harm for him.
Of all the great Messengers, He left his mark.
His stories raised souls from the darkness of ego
and the death of indifference.
How can we not care about our brothers and sisters?
He told them; let the dead bury the dead.
No funeral services were required for many were uplifted
from spiritual death.
He had the divine light and life in him, he had the Holy Spirit,
but he had a great love, His greatest asset!
And he was truly strong and beautiful; he attracted attention as he walked.
After all, he was a carpenter, was he not?
Have you ever tried to saw a beam in half?
Its takes true strength and muscle power.
What's the buzz, they sang to him, Hosanna, Hosanna
while riding on a donkey?
Wherever he went he attracted crowds
till he retreated into the garden of Gethsemane.
How painful must be a soul's awakening.
They later set upon his head a crown of thorns
until his head bled;
they labelled him " The King of the Jews" with mockery and hatred.
There is always a reason for sacrifice.
It is to teach us love and empathy.
His loving arms once embraced me in a dream
and told me all would be well.
I never forgot that dream.
I knew my life had a purpose.
I knew not where I was going or why,
I just knew I had to try to find him.
So that he could teach me not to worry!
To have faith even if I die,
as my soul must continue its journey.
I was taught a prayer as a young child.
It was sung to me by my sister, who knew how
we were never really alone.
He holds our hand as we sleep.
He holds our heart while we weep
He protects our soul while we sleep.
And should we die before we awake
we pray the Lord our soul to take.
So we often worry needlessly,
a sign of lack of faith.
His life served as an inspiration of courage and a lesson in faith.
No one can pretend that his sacrifice was not for our sake.
So that Mankind may see the light and bow down in adoration
for the Son of Man took on self-sacrifice and carried his cross
so that we may have purpose in our destination.
He has come back to us, but with a different name
So that we may see him once again,
this time in the Glory of God, in the Glory of the Father
So that our long search may have a purpose when we struggle.
May all seek His return and find Him within
A loving lord with a heart and a purpose and a new message.
To be firm as a mountain when promoting the new world order.
