The Flight of the Geese

For a face-to-face kind of person.
It may be hard to figure out
why some people are gifted with writing words on a page
That they don't have the courage to say in person.
I am one of those people who is at ease when writing
The words just seem to flow, as long as I know, I am giving.

There are moments when I am at the keyboard typing,
I forget about the difficulties and the tests I am facing,
But when encouraging others, it lifts my own spirits,
and helps me to forget all the things in my life that are not so perfect.
Encouraging an other soul may seem like a waste of time to some.
But to me it is how I re-energize, so in a way, while benefiting others
it mostly benefits me, myself.

Does this sound selfish? Am I really giving or taking?
I guess in a way it is both...but if we could all be giving in this way
it would help cure the world of only self-ness.
It costs next to nothing in a world where most things cost a lot.
In this way...we would help keep others flying
like the v-shaped formation of the flight of geese.
Encouraging one another in our own flight while still honking
and not lose track of the purpose for which we were all created.

To be supportive of one another in a family of Oneness,
when we do get mixed up or lose track of our tracking,
then a few have to come along and keep us company
till our broken wings can heal again and return to our v-formation.
God gave us these creatures, the geese, as examples
So that we can draw inspiration from their demonstration
of how we can be, how we can fly and still help each other.
The Flight of the Geese is, but one, of life's true lessons.
