Become One With a Million

IT'S GLOBAL - People of different faiths from all over the world will stop at noon and pray for peace for one minute - each in their own way on September 21st - the U.N. International Day of Peace. Princeton Community to Mark a Million Minutes for Peace will be gathering in Tiger Park, Palmer Square in Princeton, New Jersey at 11:40 am on Tuesday, September 21st to demonstrate that peace is possible and interfaith cooperation can help us achieve it. In addition to some brief prayers for peace from representatives of various religions, there will be a minute of silence for peace at noon, joining millions of others around the world who maintain religious beliefs do not have to be a source of division but a sign of the wholeness that results from diversity.

Fellowship in Prayer, a multi-faith Princeton-based nonprofit committed to fostering interfaith spiritual practice in pursuit of justice and peace, is partnering with the Coalition for Peace Action, The Princeton Clergy Association and Princeton Community TV in hosting this event as part of Odyssey Networks’ initiative, A Million Minutes for Peace.

“At a time when anti-Islamic sentiment is running high and religious controversy and violence dominates the news, it is more important than ever that people of conscience who value the American ideals on which this country were founded stand in solidarity with one another across all faiths and wisdom traditions,” says Janet Haag, Fellowship in Prayer’s Executive Director, “it is our hope for peace in this world.

Playing For Unity In Diversity

The interpretation of Globalization, or Mondialisation du monde, in today's society is quite different from what we believe, it is very political taking advantage of minorities or what we used to call the 'third world' in order to advance and agenda for more power and money. This is wrong and that is not what TW and Playing For Unity In Diversity are about. We believe in Diversity and not Uniformity. We praise cultural enrichment, differences, empowerment and that is why we celebrate Unity in Diversity leaving politics out of our lives. We are creating our own Spiritual Revolution through Positive Change Through The Arts & Creative Living.
